"I Am He"
By Glen Knabe In John chapter eighteen Jesus went with His disciples to the garden of Gethsemane. It was here that Judas came guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons and it was their aim to arrest Jesus, take Him to the chief priests, and put Him on trial. Jesus knew all that was going to happen to Him and when He saw them coming He went out to meet them. He asked, “Who is it you want?” “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am He,” Jesus said. Verse six of John 18 records that when Jesus said, “I am He,” the crowd drew back and fell to the ground.
Even here at His arrest, Jesus displays that He and God the Father are in complete control. With a simple statement, “I am He,” the crowd buckled at His power. They did not come to take Him by force, even though it might have been their intention. He could have escaped from them as He did on other occasions (John 7:30, 45-46). They could not overpower Him. Their words were no match for Him.

Adam & Eve
At Sunday School they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam’s ribs.

Almighty
"The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
When we learn to recognize that God Almighty is the answer to peace and contentment within our lives, the responsibilities we have will be as clear as crystal
because the Almighty wished to bless you in every way. | |||
