Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS                   "A Word from Ryan"

Paul commands us in the book of Philippians 4:4 to “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice.” According to www.dictionary.com, always means “every time; on every occasion; without exception.” You mean I am to rejoice and be full of joy on every occasion? You mean in good times and in bad? Last December, Jamie and I were expecting a child but six weeks into the pregnancy we had a miscarriage. For me, it was one of the most difficult things I have ever had to experience. It was a hard time for the both of us. The only place we knew to turn for strength was to God. God is there for us and He will never leave us or forsake us. I love the gospel hymn, “Where could I go but to the Lord?” babe in a manger What powerful words because God is amazing! God has now blessed us with Emery Kate Wilson. We rejoice during this time and we rejoice in every occasion. We truly are blessed and look forward to bringing her up in the “training and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). God has truly blessed us and may God bless you all!

Children in Church
  • A little boy was overheard praying: “And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets.”

  • A Sunday School teacher asked her little children, “And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?” One bright little girl replied, “Because people are sleeping.”

  • The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mike, and as he preached, he moved briskly about the platform, jerking the mike cord as he went. Then he moved to one side, getting wound up in the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again. After several circles and jerks, a little girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whispered, “If he gets loose, will he hurt us?”
