Information & Insights A Cappella Angels will not meet today because of Trunk R Treat! Gospel Meeting @ Cherokee Church of Christ Oct 28 - 30. Prepare and prevent instead of repair and repent. Toning The Temple will meet tomorrow, Oct 29th, @ 2pm. We plan to discuss diabetes. The worst prison is a closed heart. Remember to pick up a prayer request from participants in our Prison Correspondence Ministry. Requests are at the Welcome Center. Several of the round tablecloths belonging to the church have been borrowed and not returned - please return them as soon as possible. Are your promises to God as binding as those made to the bank? Gospel Meeting @ the Judsonia Church of Christ Oct 28 - 31. Memorial Bibles are available in the office. The Newport Greyhound High School football team will be our guests before the game Friday for a hamburger supper. If you are interested in helping contact Glen. You Have A Friend In Jesus *"A Word from Ryan"* You've probably heard the story about the two boys who were hiking in the woods one day. They were miles away from civilization when they accidentally came upon a giant grizzly bear. The bear was about 20 yards from them, staring them down. One of the boys whispered in a trembling voice, "What do we do now?" The other boy very slowly and quietly sat down, removed his backpack, took off his hiking boots, and put on his tennis shoes. Watching all of this, the other boy said, "Why are you putting your tennis shoes on? You can't outrun a giant grizzly bear." To which the other boy said, "I don't have to, all I have to do is outrun you!" Well, have you ever felt like you've been used "bear bait?" Have you ever been deserted by people? Have you ever been disappointed by your friends when they failed to respond to you when you needed them the most? Probably all of us have at one time or another. But the good news is that Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). If Jesus is your friend, no matter what the trial may be, you won't face it alone. The Lord will be by your side. Remember that! x
Youth News Oct 28 - Truck R Treat Nov 4 - “Family Fun Night” for ALL ages!! Nov 11 - Area Wide (Holden Avenue Church of Christ)	I’ve learned that... no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life. making a "living" is not the same thing as "making a life. even when I have pain, I don’t have to be one. people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. I still have a lot to learn. every day you should reach out and touch someone.
Time change Remember to set your clocks back one hour next Saturday night before you go to bed so you will be on time for church Sunday morning!! If you go to bed @ 10pm - set your clock for 9pm.	Caring Sisters Meeting There will be a meeting of the Caring Sisters Monday, October 29th, at 6pm in the small auditorium. All ladies are encouraged to attend.
