"Our Lord Is Alive"

By Ryan Wilson

Easter Sunday was a week ago and what an awesome time of worship together! We had a large crowd with us as we came together to remember what Jesus has done for us. For many in our world, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Christmas are the only times people will grace the doors of the church building. My prayer is that people will see the importance of walking with Christ daily and coming together with the body of Christ to worship Him every first day of the week. People celebrate the resurrection of Christ on Easter, but we as Christians celebrate the Lord’s resurrection every Lord’s Day. When we surround the table and take of the bread and the cup, we remember that He died for our sins and rose from the grave as He said He would. I am so thankful that Jesus rose from the grave because that gives us all hope. We have the hope of eternal life and forgiveness of sins. There are many theories out there that they Christ never died and He never rose from the grave. But if you look at the evidence from Scripture and all the eyewitnesses, you have to conclude that Jesus is alive and He did raise from the grave. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures." Our Lord lives and I encourage us all to keep what the Lord has done before you at all times. Praise God that Jesus died for us, but that He also rose from the grave conquering sin and death! God bless you all!

Thank You
We had a wonderful Ladies Day due to the cooperation and efforts of our fabulous ladies! There are so many that contributed so much that it would be impossible to name everyone. Just know that all efforts were appreciated. We were also blessed to have guests from several other churches and loved the fellowship with them. Serve the Lord with joy; come before him with singing. Know that the Lord is God. He made us, and we belong to him; we are his people, that sheep he tends. Psalm 100:2-3

When I say that I am a Christian
When I say that I am a Christian, I am not shouting that I am clean living.
I’m whispering I was lost, but now I’m found and forgiven.
When I say that I am a Christian, I don’t speak with pride,
I’m confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say that I am a Christian, I’m not trying to be strong,
I’m professing that I’m weak and need his strength to carry on.
When I say that I am a Christian, I’m not bragging of success,
I’m admitting that I’ve failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say that I am a Christian, I’m not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but God believes I’m worth it!
When I say that I am a Christian, I still feel the sting of pain.
I’ve had my share of heartaches so I call upon His name.
When I say that I am a Christian, I’m not holier than thou.
I’m just a simple sinner who received God’s good grace, somehow!

Just for Fun

Three preachers sat discussing the best positions for prayer, while a telephone repairman worked nearby. "Kneeling is definitely the best way to pray, said one.

"No," said another. "I get the best results standing with my hand out-stretched to Heaven."

"You’re both wrong," said the third. "The most effective prayer position is laying down on the floor."

The repairman could contain himself no longer. "Hey fellas," he interrupted. "The best prayin’ I ever did was when I was hangin’ upside down from a telephone pole."
