Many times in life we are just like the Pharisees and we appear to look righteous on the outside, but on the inside we are rotten to the core. That is what sin does to us. Sin does nothing but contaminates our lives and corrupts our souls. But thankfully the word of God tells us that we can be forgiven and begin again. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come." How do we define success? Are we successful because we have a good paying job? Or are we successful because we have many friends. What about our education? Are we successful because we have a college degree? Many in the world would define success by what they have accomplished or what they have in life. I would say that if you are a Christian, then you are spiritually successful because you KNOW Jesus Christ. The good news of the Gospel is that our lives can be transformed. Transformation is a lifelong process that takes time and effort and prayer. Paul went from someone who put Christians to death to preaching Christ. His life was transformed by the Gospel. I would say he is spiritually successful. I know the Devil does his best to bring us down. Because of that we have to CONCENTRATE. Keep your focus on the Lord! Secondly, CAST AWAY some things. Do the right thing and be pure in heart. Finally, just CONTINUE doing good. Keep following Jesus from day to day and never give up! You and I belong with God the Father. The better life is in Christ Jesus! God bless you all and let’s go to Heaven together!
